If you and your wife or plan to go biking together then you should opt for the Swagman. It is designed to carry two bikes.
Unlike the Allen, this is attached to the rear bumper of your car. There is a bumper mount adaptor included with the product. Please note that the Swagman has a limit of 35 pounds per bike. So please weigh your bike before making this purchase.

Swagman XC cross-country 2-bike hitch mount rack
This is an alternative version of the Swagman above. It is sturdier than the regular swagman and is designed to go cross country, something the earlier swagman is not able to do. It accomplishes this by being attached to the rear receiver hitch.
Even if you do not have a rear receiver hitch, I would recommend you install one because if you are planning to go cross country then any bike rack will not be secured by a bumper attachment or any other alternative. It will fall off the moment you get on rough bouncy roads.
Like the other swagman, this has a 35 pounds limit per bike. Now one nice feature for the swagman is that the arms fold downward. So you can still use your trunk without removing the rack. It is a very useful feature and makes the Swagman stand out in comparison to the other bike racks on the list.

Lippert components Jack-It 2-bike carrier
The Lippert jack weighs only 25 pounds and can carry 80 pounds of weight. At first, I was a little worried of how two bikes would fit onto this rack but then when I did it myself it worked. But it looked flimsy and I was concerned that the bikes might fall off so I did a test run and the Lippert performed satisfactorily.
The unfortunate problem with it is that it does not attach to the bumper. It is specifically designed to attach to the trailer’s tongue jack on the A-Frame. There is a way to attach it to the rear receiver hitch but you will need to purchase the Lippert receiver hitch adapter to do so. Hence, I would not recommend this as much as the swagman or Allen.

The difference between this Allen rack and the other one is that this one needs a Class 3 or 4 inch rear receiver hitch. That is the downside, as I said before it is worth getting the hitch installed.
