25 Packing Hacks For Traveling.

25 Packing Hacks For Traveling.

Many will agree with me that traveling is fun and really adventurous. However, packing is by far not any pleasant. With the right tips and hacks then packing is going to be fun. Here are a few tips for your packing.

1. Compress and roll your clothes

Unlike folding, rolling your clothes before packing helps save up on space. It would be further easier to pack the rolled up clothes into compressible plastic bags. The importance for these bags is they save up on space as they squeeze out any extra air.

2. Always remember the in-flight essentials bag

It is often annoying to see a person on the aisle of a plane digging through their luggage looking for their earphones. To avoid this, it is important to set up a separate small bag or pouch that’s fitted with your essentials.

3. Pick carry on friendly luggage

Travel like a minimalist and use a carry-on. This helps save you time at the check-in counter.

4. Keep dirty laundry aside

This is especially important to a person traveling to many destinations. Keeping dirty laundry separate ensures that the clean clothes don’t mix up with dirty ones. You can keep them separate by carrying an extra compressible bag or a light canvas.

5. Keep your bag tagged

Many bags, especially in bus stations or airports, often look alike. It is important that you try and decorate your bag in a way that it stands out from the rest. This also helps in securing your luggage.

6. Write up a list

It is important that you write s list of everything you need to pack; once written, cross out an item after it’s packed.

7. Separate liquids

The liquids are mostly toiletries and as such, they should be packed into a plastic bag to prevent them from leaking and damaging the rest of the stuff.

8. Carry dryer sheets

Dryer sheets keep your luggage smelling fresh and clean all through your travel

9. Always leave extra space

There is always that likelihood of buying something during your trip.

10. Use tissue paper

Rolling clothes with tissue paper is known to prevent creases and wrinkles

11. Waterproof your luggage

This is important in protecting the contents of the bag.

12. Packing Cubes

It is important to use packing cubes for your luggage as they make it easier to categorize your luggage.

13. Jewelry

The best way to pack jewelry is by storing them in tiny containers. For the earrings, it is important to keep them together using a button.

14. Always carry a shower cap, not all hotels will provide you with one

15. Overpacking is no!

This is often easier said than done. The best way to avoid this is by laying out everything that you think will be useful then only pack half of it.

16. Use small containers

This is useful in carrying gels and lotions

17. Heavy clothing

It is advisable that you wear your heaviest clothing to save up room on your bags

18. Breakables

It is of importance to protecting all the items likely to be broken such as perfume bottles. It is wise that they are packed in the middle of the suitcase or rolled with a scarf.

19. Invest in conditioners and bar shampoos

The bar shampoos and conditioners look and feel like the normal soap and they are very travel-friendly too.

20. Always carry an extra outfit

In your carry on always have an extra outfit as anything is bound to happen. Checked baggage is not immune to getting misplaced and it may take a few days to recover your items.

21. Sunglasses case

Be creative with your case. It would be ideal for packing cables, a small charging item and headphones.

22. First aid kit

It is advisable that one packs up a few items such as medicine, anti-itch creams, band-aids and prescriptions that would go a long way during your trip

23. Ask for a fragile sticker

Once you get at the check-in counter, it is wise that you ask for a fragile sticker to ensure that your bag is treated with care.

24. Balance your bag

Balancing your bag prevents it from toppling over. Always pack the heaviest items at the bottom and the lightest at the top.

25. Use shoes

Shoes help in maximizing space in that you can stuff socks and underwear in your sneakers.

Conclusion

With the above tips, packing won’t just be easy but fun too. Have fun!
