How to Rent an RV for Cheap

How to Rent an RV for Cheap?

You have decided to jump into the wonderful life of RVing and the awesome adventures that come with it. There is however one thing bothering you; you wonder if you would be able to afford to pay for your RV rental.

There is favorite hack among those living in RVs, and it’s called the RV Relocation Hack.

How it works is that businesses that sell or rent RVs sometimes need to relocate them for various reasons such moving them to a place where they would be sold or moving them to other offices, for demand purposes.

The cost of relocating them can be hefty because a driver has to be paid to drive the RV to its destination, food and diesel have to be taken into consideration, and the driver’s return transportation fee has to be paid.

To save them all that hassle, companies will rent their RVs to RVers for about a dollar, for them to get the RVs to their destination.

The RV relocation hack might seem like a good deal, and it is one indeed.

However, adopting this hack would mean that you are bound to one route, the one chosen by the company, and you have limited time on the road.

While RV relocation is one of the major methods to rent an RV for close to nothing, there are other methods that you can adopt, to immensely reduce your rent to very close to nothing.

Such methods are the following:

• Private RV rentals

Often, people go to RV rental businesses to hire their RVs. The problem with this is that the rent for those RVs is usually expensive, the reason being that companies need to set their rental prices a bit high, in order to pay for business expenses and still create a good profit margin.

An alternative would be to hire directly from private RV owners. This would be much cheaper because often, RV owners are only looking to make passive income from a vehicle they hardly use.

• Affordable campsites

I am aware that affordable campsites might be less adventurous and often entail minimal amenities. However, cutting down on your expenses would mean that you have more money available for rent.

You do not have to this all the time though. Within the month, you can alternate from free and affordable camping sites too expensive and exotic ones.

• Look for good deals

Search the internet, ask your friends and family and take a drive around your city to find ways to rent an RV for close to nothing. The thing is, everyone needs something, so you might find a person with an RV that they are not using, but they are need of something that you possess. In that case, all you have to do is to come to an agreement where you lend the person your possession, and they let you use their RV.

You shouldn’t have to worry about paying your RV rental. Get creative and think outside the box for ways to reduce significantly or even eliminate that expense.
