Outdoorsy is a small digital world for all the RV owners who wish to rent their RVs. This company was started by two travelers who happen to be Man and Wife.

Jeff and Jen are the co-founders of this website. Who quit their respective jobs at Silicon Valley and started to live in their Airstream RV traveling the World. This was the time when Outdoorsy came into existence.

About the RV rental procedure on this website, Searching for RVs is like a cakewalk on Outdoorsy. You just need to enter the location, date and your range and a list according to your parameters will pop-up on your screens.

You might get some RVs located in the neighboring towns of your selected location. Now, as per your requirements, you can refine your search by selecting the model, space and many other features and amenities you wish to have in your rental RV.

Now, about the Booking is another simple task on Outdoorsy. People who were asked for an Outdoorsy review really appreciated their Booking methods.

Once you find a suitable RV for yourself, just click on the instant book’ button. The ones which are enabled for a review from the owners won’t have this instant book’ option.

The RVs which require an Owner’s approval might take a day or two according to the busy schedule of the possessor.

Once you start the booking process, there are some details and information to be filled in. And, this needs to be done really fast as Outdoorsy holds your RV for JUST 10 MINUTES!!

For some RVs, you might need to pay a deposit amount depending on the RV. This security deposit which actually refundable varies between $100 – 500 Dollars, depending on the owner and RV. This amount needs to be just two days advance of the rental period.

In all of this Rental Process, the Owners are given a time-window of just 24Hours to confirm the booking and give a green signal to the renters. And, once the RVs are confirmed as Picked-up,’ the rental amount is credited in their bank accounts.

Do Outdoorsy provide any Insurance Coverage? Yes, at Outdoorsy the renters are liable for any damaged caused to the RV once it’s picked up or delivered.

All the renters need to fill out an RV Return Form,’ confirming the overall condition of the RV before and after the rental period.

At Outdoorsy, an amount of $250,000 is paid during comprehensive Collision Damage to the RV and a 1Million Dollar for the liability insurance cover according to the rental period of the RV.
For any minor damages caused to the RV which are as less as $1500, the renters are liable to pay a full cover amount to the Outdoorsy.

Finally, the last segment of the Outdoorsy review is the Cancellation policy of Outdoorsy. Currently, Outdoorsy has three standardized return policies, i.e., Moderate, Flexible and Strict.

Moderate Cancellation, Renters might have to pay a cancellation fee 7 days prior to the pick-up date and gets a 75% refund of the total costs excluding the service fee. And, for the ones who tend to cancel within these 7Days a 50% of the amount is refundable.

Flexible Cancellations, the renters are asked for a cancellation fee 5 days prior to the pick-up date and are paid back 100% costs minus the service fee. And, 75% is fully refundable to those who chose to cancel within these 5Days.
Strict Cancellations, the cancellation amount is demanded 14 Days prior to the pick-up date, and it gets a 50% refund cost minus service fee, and a zero refund if canceled within these 14 Days.

Pros

  • This website is way too easy to use and navigate.
  • The Paperwork is made a simple task, and the money transfers and other works are solely managed by Outdoorsy.
  • There is an insurance policy that covers the RVs for $1Million.
  • Outdoorsy has quick and really supportive customer care.
Cons
  • Not all listed RVs on Outdoorsy are Pet-friendly. So, if you have a pet, you need to refine the search a bit more than required.
  • You might get charged for the millage which actually an addition to an engine.
