How To Plan The Best Driving Route For Your RV_

How To Plan The Best Driving Route For Your RV?

Planning comes first before everything, before an RV trip you need to plan the perfect trip route well but with the help of planning websites, phone apps and online maps it has made our work easier, they are helpful because they provide estimated route options, nearby restaurants and many more.

Let’s look at some of the guidelines on how to plan the best driving route for your RV trip.

1. Outline your route

Before going on your trip you should at least have an idea of where you are visiting. It is safe to travel on a route that you have an idea about; to achieve this you need to have a Google map this will make your work easier.

Just enter your departure and your destination locations, and you will receive a routing option. GPS systems can also help show you important areas around the place like; gas stations and campgrounds.

2. Create a timeline

After you’ve found a route, it’s good to make a timeline of how you will spend your time in several attractions. This timeline will help you visit all the main places of attraction without missing even one.

Creating a timeline is very important as it will help you plan and book campgrounds, you’ll find that throughout your travel, you will not have time to idle around.

3. Build a budget

Know the amount of money you are going to spend during your stay, break down all your trip expenses by category. Know how much you’ll need for traveling which means the rental fees and fueling.

Also look at the accommodation how much you will spend on it, food and entrance fees for some places like national parks.

Budgeting is good because you will not spend too much, of course after the trip you will still need money for your family and several other uses and whenever you don’t plan a lot of money will be wasted on a single trip and you end up with nothing left.

4. Find the perfect RV Rental

There are different types of RVs, we have those meant for large families, and others meant for a single person. For a single person, he/she can use a tiny sleeper van and if you are traveling with a large family, of course, you will need a large sleeping room you’ll be forced to use a wheeled trailer.

So before deciding to go on that trip, you should find the perfect rental for your family. Here are some types of RVs; you should consider looking at them. Class A and Class C motorhomes are considered luxurious and easy to operate and have a lot of room for all your family members. However, these motorhomes are gas guzzlers and expensive to rent.

Class B Motorhomes and Sleeper Vans are comfortable and flexible; they are a bit small in size and are meant for only one or two people. Finally is the Travel trailer which comes in all shapes, there are small and large sizes. This is an auxiliary vehicle that is designed in a way that one can explore destinations.
