Tips for remodeling your old camper

Before you start repainting it is important that you understand a number of great pointers that will take you through the whole experience of repainting the camper. Here are some of them;

  1. Research is key. Before you even purchase anything for the job it is important that you do your own research on which painting would work best for your camper. This helps you to get value for money. It also helps you to stay within your financial boundaries so that you don’t overspend.
  2. The next step is going for shopping once you have known what you want you to have to get them. Here is a list of things you might require;
  3. Automotive primer, paint, clear coat, sandpaper, buffing materials, paintbrush or spray gun, protective materials.
  4. Before you start on the painting job preparation is key. You don’t just paint anyhow. It is important that you first wear your protective gear. After which you put taping to the places on the camper that don’t need to be painted on.
  5. After this, you can use the sandpaper to scrub off the old paint so that you get a clean surface to do your new paint. The buffing materials also help with this process too. The next thing is to wipe the buffed areas to ensure total cleanliness of the surfaces that require paint.
  6. While painting you can decide to use a spray gun or a roller. The rolls are slower but the spray gun is messier. However, they perform the same functionality. Before painting, you have to prime the entire surface to be painted after which actual painting after which you can start painting. Make sure to paint all the places required not forgetting the edges and corners.
  7. Paint at least two coats for a fine and nice look.
