RV Parking in San Francisco. The Ultimate Guide

RV Parking in San Francisco: The Ultimate Guide

San Francisco area is a great place to go touring: the beaches, the sun, hiking spots, adventurous hinterland, and similar nice treats. Maybe you are here to explore the city of San Francisco before venturing into the hinterland.

Whichever reason, the only worry you might have could be about the best parking spot to safely park your recreational vehicle. We’ve compiled a list of top parking grounds in San Francisco to guide you around.

But first, here is what to keep in mind when selecting an RV park:

  • What are your personal preferences? You know the requirements of your motorhome. For instance, if it requires a 50-ampere external power connection, be aware that not all parks will provide for that requirement
  • What are the requirements of your party/outing? For example, if you are traveling with kids or children, you’d want a spacious playground nearby and other pet and kids friendly recreation facilities.
  • Is it affordable? Determine if the parking cost is budget-friendly
  • Do you like the location? If you’re planning to spend a long time in the park, you’d probably want a quiet and peaceful park
  • Online presence: There are two reasons why you would want a park with an online presence: firstly, you’ll get to see the reviews and secondly, you’ll have an opportunity to see how the park looks like before going there.
  • State parks: State parks are cheaper in terms of cost and offers a naturally beautiful environment. On the flip side, they are often located long distances from towns and stores. They also lack such things as Wi-Fi and access to the sewerage system.
  • How is the community like? You’d want to choose a park that matches your social preferences which are necessary to keep you comfortable
