Top 8 RV Parks & Campgrounds in Pennsylvania 

Pennsylvania also nicknamed as Keystone State is found in the northeast side U.S and was one of the thirteen original colonies.

It’s home to the famous independence hall and has a rich American history. It also has exciting tourist attractions such as Longwood Gardens, Philadelphia Zoo, Lake Erie, Botanical Gardens, and Phipps Conservatory.

Some of the top eight recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds in Pennsylvania include:

Woodland Campground

One of the RV parks and campgrounds found in Pennsylvania is the Woodland Campground. The campground is found in the scenic mountains in central Pennsylvania.

It is surrounded by amazing natural areas such as the Black Moshannon State Park, Moshannon State Forest, Sproul State Forest, and the Quehanna Wild Area.

It is also close to the popular attraction sites such as the Palmer Museum of Art, Bryce Jordan Center, Pennsylvania Military Museum, and the Arboretum at Penn State.

West Haven RV Park and Campground

West Haven Campground is located near the Presque Isle State Park in the northwest side of the state. Some popular attractions near the campground include the Erie Zoo, Children’s Museum, and the Splash Lagoon.

It is also close to the waterfront city of Erie which is home to the Erie Maritime Museum, Water World, and the Waldameer Park. It is also in proximity to the popular fishing spots such as Elk Creek, Walnut Creek, Lake Erie, Trout Run, and Presque Isle.

Rose Point Park Campground

Rose Point Campground is situated in the north of Pittsburgh in the western region of Pennsylvania. Some of the popular attractions in the area include Eckert Bridge, McConnell’s Mill State Park, Alpha Pass, and Cheese man Farm.

The facilities and amenities found in Rose point park include two playgrounds, swimming pools, stocked pond, and hiking trails. It has also plenty of fun activities such as disc golf, craft classes, and bingo.

Gettysburg

Also known as the Battlefield KOA campground it is located just a couple of miles from downtown Gettysburg. Some nearby amazing sites include the Gettysburg National Military Park, Little Round Top, and the Eisenhower National Historic Site.

It is also a facility that provides a family-friendly, safe, and fun-filled moment for an RV vacation. Visitors can enjoy amazing amenities such as life-size games, nature trail, and mini-golf.

Hershey Park Camping Resort

Hershey park resort is found in Hummelstown in the south-east of Pennsylvania State. Some of the popular attraction sites found nearby include the Challenge Family Fun Center and the Indian Echo Caverns.

Sara’s Campground

Sara’s Campground is located in Erie in the northernmost part of the state. The campground is close to Presque Isle State Park and some other visited places such as Splash Lagoon, Bicentennial Tower, Watson-Curtze Mansion, Waldameer Park, and the Erie Zoo.

The campground provides all the comforts of your home such as laundry, showers, and clean restrooms.

Leonard Harrison State Park

Leonard Harrison Park is found along Pine Creek in the northern region of Pennsylvania. It is close to various natural attractions such as Susquehannock State Forest, Tioga State Forest, Colton Point State Park, and Pine Creek Gorge. Other amazing spots in the area include the Arcadia Theatre and the Animaland Zoological Park.

Lake-In-Wood Campground

Lake-In-Wood Campground is located in Narvon on the southwest side of the state. It is near some popular tourist attractions found in the state such as Reading Public Museum, French Creek State Park and the Amish Village.

It has plenty of onsite activities for all ages such as paddle boating, fishing, mini-golfing, and cycling.
