Applying method
When applying any sealant, it is important to prepare the surface you are going to apply. Clear any dust, debris or any other visible impurities that may cause the sealant not to form a strong bond or slow down the time taken to dry and heal.
In cases where there is rust, you may have to use sandpaper to sand out the rust. It is important to help in drying the sealants. If you are applying in an enclosed area, try as much as possible to provide much ventilation as you can. And also to ensure there is fresh air so you don’t have breathing problems. When applying the sealants concentrate on holes and cracks.
Compatible Surfaces
Both Flex seal and Rust seal are sealants that after they dry when sprayed on a leaked surface, they form a durable, rubberized utility coating to fill up the cracks and holes. They prevent further penetration of water and moisture to form a strong bond.
They also help to keep out the rust. They are both aerosol sprays that can be used on various surfaces which include aluminum, metal, galvanized metal, fiberglass, PVC work, vinyl and many more surfaces.
They also protect the surfaces from Ultra Violet rays. After they completely dry and heal, they can be painted to any color.

It is quite difficult to determine which is the best between the two superior sealants as both of them share so many qualities. But when we take a look at the durability, you will notice that Rust seal takes the lead as it is weatherproof but Flex seal can only be used indoors.
